c2000 Painting by Mark Greenawalt

Welcome to the "Pinacle Peak" bodypainting webpage.  This was my second body painting and it features a desert scene painted on the back a model named Rachel from Chandler.  This project took place in early September 2000. It took about two hours to complete the painting itself and an additional three hours were spent on the photoshoot.  I owe Rachel a huge thanks for being so patient and understanding of how tedious and time consuming this artform can be.

This design was based on a photograph taken at the driveway to the Four Seasons Resort in north Scottsdale.  The mountain formation is called Pinnacle Peak.  I took a little artistic license with the body painting by making it a sunset scene instead of mid-day colors in the photograph.  This painting included air-brushed sky using Ben-Nye paints and the mountain was brushed on using generic face paints.  The other interesting note was that the gravel in the foreground was painted using a toothbrush and a splattering technique.

If you are interested in ordering a print from this photoshoot or would like additional information on bodypainting, please feel free to contact mark@futureclassx.com and visit my website at www.futureclassx.com .  Please browse through the additional images from the Pinnacle Peak bodypainting session below.  Thanks for visiting!
