What is The Art Fashion Show?!

The Art Fashion Show (AFS) is an event where the art from the canvas, comes to life on the runway. Several diverse local artists are chosen and their art pieces are represented on fabulous runway models, through great fashion design and creative hair & make-up. It's the most unique fashion show in downtown Phoenix and 20% of ticket sales and 100% of direct donations go to the charity WINGS FOR WARRIORS. Wings for Warriors is a great organization that provides medical care and financial needs for injured veterans and their families upon return from deployment.

This was the 3rd Art Fashion Show and I was honored to be asked back to be one of the represented artists. The event was held at a new art gallery called Unexpected located in the Grand Avenue arts district at 734 W Polk St, Phoenix, Arizona. This gallery has an awesome video wall as the backdrop to the runway and the video played during the event really accentuated the beauty of the art and the models.

The show is produced and hosted by Kristine Nicole. Here is a photo by Dennis Larson of Kristine and I at the end of the night with two of my art pieces, Glory and Genesis.
