Wonder Woman vs. Medusa - Titans (Scroll down for alternate image)
Titans is an illustration that pitted Wonder Woman against the mythological Medusa in a battle to the death. Wonder Woman became the victor with one clean swipe of her mighty sword as she averted her eyes from certain doom. The flames beyond the columns of Medusa's lair engulf those turned to stone. Even in death, her gaze remains...look away.
For this illustration, cosplayer Rosanna Robertson was the model for Wonder Woman based on reference photos shot at the 2012 Tucson Comic Con. The Medusa head was referenced from a special effects prosthetic make-up project that I did with Erin St Blaine at the US Bodypainting Festival in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2007. Medusa's body was referenced from a photoshoot with Cara Fawn at an exotic festival called the Blue Ball in 2004.
