Black Widow Mystique

Black Widow strikes a sexy pose and then reveals herself to be the shape shifting Mystique

This project began as a live body painting collaboration between special effects makeup artist Casey Kaki and Mark Greenawalt. It took place as a live demonstration at the Phoenix Art Museum as part of the Hollywood Costume Exhibition. Casy, who is also the model in this image, created the prosthetic scales for the body and applied them to herself while Greenawalt made and applied the face prosthetics using silicone and then applied the metallic blue Temptu makeup with an airbrush.

The photos from that event were used as reference photography for the illustration in Photoshop.

This is an 11" X 17" open edition poster print of Black Widow Mystique. This is an original poster printed on cover stock and is signed and sent directly from the artist in a sturdy 3" mailing tube.
