2007 Bodypainting Calendar Unveiled
by Mark Greenawalt

The 2007 bodypainting calendar by Mark Greenawalt  The 2007 Bodypainting by Mark Greenawalt desktop calendar is now available.  This year I have gone back to the desktop size that includes the customized CD case that props up for easy viewing.  I've also reverted back to the professional CMYK printing process instead of the inferior digital copies.  Surprisingly, I have been able to reduce the price of them this year by having more printed.  Gracing the pages of the calendar this year are the following models:  Michelle Monroe, Courtney Black, Alice Borcean, Paris Harshman, Bridgette Strawbridge, Liliana Aramburo, Erin Glover, Jason Coleman, Ashley Crisci, Kesia Camacho, Erik Andress, Angel McNeill, Kalucha, Tomica Duvall, and Sabrina Poulsen.  I did the graphic layout and most of the photography except for contributions from photographers Don Crossland, JP Photography, and Rodrigo Piedra.  To see the rest of the images that made this years edition and to order your copy, please visit the calendar page at http://www.futureclassx.com/bodypaint/calendar/2007/2007calendar.htm .

My Two Sons In The Musical 'BIG' At Desert Stages Theater
by Mark Greenawalt

My oldest son has expressed an interest in acting.  Through some internet research we found auditions for a children's musical at Desert Stages theater in Scottsdale.  The show was called "Big the Musical" and it was the staged version of the Tom Hanks movie from the 80's.  Since the ages they were auditioning went from 3 years old to 19 years old, my youngest son decided that he wanted to audtion too.  I had prepared them both that it was unlikely that they would make the cut, but all of us were surprised and elated to find out that both of them had been selected for parts.  The shows took place every Friday night and two shows on Saturday from August 11th through September 9th.  They both did wonderful and my wife and I were very proud of them.

Painting Restoration for The Trail of Painted Ponies
by Mark Greenawalt

Trail of Painted Ponies restoration project of Blue Sky Horse About a year ago I painted one of the Kaleidoscope Horses at the Arizona State Fair.  This little resume piece was instrumental in getting the credibility to do some touch-up work with the Trail of Painted Ponies. The horse named "Blue Sky Horse" had been damaged while being moved from place to place and some of the paint had been scraped away.  My secretary from my day-job had left to work with the Trail of Painted Ponies headquarters in Scottsdale and she dropped my name as an airbrush artist that might be able to restore the painting.  The original painting was done by Santa Fe artist Jim Alford.  I hope to one day paint one of my own pony from the Trail of Painted Ponies.  Click on the picture above to see the enlarged version of the refurbished painting.

Smirnoff Party
by Mark Greenawalt

Smirnoff Vodka event There was a party sponsored by Smirnoff Vodka at a local club and I was hired to bodypaint a top on a spokes model.  This picture is of Kyla before she left for the event.  I was not able to attend the event, but rumor had it that it went over wonderfully.  Click on the image to enlarge the picture.
