We are renting a house in northeast Phoenix that is mere minutes from Home Depot, Walmart, Burger King, Jack In The Box, grocery stores, hospitals, Chucky Cheeses, a Scuba diving shop, and a short 10 minute drive to work. The furniture arrived without too much damage and on time. There are still boxes everywhere, but it's coming together. We found a buyer for our house in Tennessee, but the final paperwork is not yet complete.
The WELCOME-BACK-TO-ARIZONA party will be held on Saturday, March 4th at 3:00p.m. everyone's welcome.
Twenty-six hours. That's equivalent to listening to about 40 CD's the whole way through. I drove the van out one week and then flew back to drive the car out a week later. Dawna Bradford, who I miss dearly, paid for my flight back to Nashville so that I could also stop by and see her with her new lead guitarist, Steve Rutledge, at the Boardwalk Cafe. Thanks again, Dawna.
On the first drive out I took the opportunity to "swing by" Santa Fe, New Mexico to get a picture of the capital building. This brings my total capitals to 25 states plus the nations capital. On the second drive out, I listened to 16 hours worth of books on tape. The best one was called the Midnight Club by James Patterson.
Well so far I have gone to an Exotic Art exhibit which was a wild experience to say the least. I also went to the Renaissance Festival with the Clappers (who also were kind enough to let me stay at their house while I was temporarily homeless). I've inspected three of the city's nightclubs to see if their beer was fit to drink...it was. I went to a concert to see an 80's band that I had thought just disappeared off of the face of the earth...does anyone out there remember The Bullet Boys?
Of course, to help fuel all of the fun nights, the days have been spent working at my new company, Sullivan Designs. I am getting geared up to start working on a website for them and I am already involved in about 6 projects. My family is all here together finally also, so my wife and kids help keep me occupied. Oh yeah, and one last thing. I did complete one more watercolor painting in the nudes section called High Tide.
Type at you next month!!!
